               The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps with its head Quarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.

 

Aims of NCC

  1. To develop qualities of character, courage, commandership, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizen.
  2. To create a human resource of organized trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the nation

Anand Niketan College has NCC unit of 21 Mah. Bn. NCC Wardha and NCC unit of 3 Mah. Girls Bn. NCC Nagpur. The authorized strength of SD NCC Unit is 108 cadets and SW NCC Unit is 52 cadets. The total strength of both units is 160 cadets. The training imparted in NCC is of great value to the physique. While attending camps cadets live, eat and train together and acquire knowledge of others traditions and customs and this exposure in camp develops among them the spirit of unity and co-operation.

The basic concept of NCC is not only to militarize the youth. Through its multidimensional and value oriented objectives we try to develop the mental and physical fitness of the cadets and inculcate them with all the qualities of an ideal citizen in an organized and well planned manner keeping in view, its motto “Unity and Discipline”.

NCC provided the following training to the college students those who participate in NCC.

NCC provides the special training to the college students in NCC Combined Annual Training Camp, Pre-R.D. Selection Camp, National Integration Camp, Trekking Camp, Army Attachment Camp, & Social Service Camp etc
