Economics
The Department of Economics was established with the inception of Anand Niketan College being managed by Maharogi Sewa Samiti, Anandwan, Warora, on 20th June 1964. Economics has been prescribed to Arts (Part-I , II & III ) faculty since the inception of the college. The Dept. of Economics has one Full-Time, well-qualified and enthusiastic faculty. At present Dr. N K Patil is head of the Department. He is NET qualified and Ph.D from Gondwana University. He has been teaching here for seventeen years. Dr. Patil takes keen interest in the social service also.
The Department has cherished history of distinguished scholars heading the Department. The first milestone as head of the department was laid by Prof. Sau. Sudha Sainis. She successfully bore the responsibility of it from 1964 to 2001.
During her tenure she devoted herself to the betterment of promising student. She had her share in extracurricular activities also that brought immense praise to the college and benefited the students in large number. ‘Economics Forum’ a new venture was introduced in joint collaboration with the Department of Economics, Sociology, Political Science and History. Its establishment dates back to three decades; it has been organizing seminars on social issues that touch burning problems and ills in the society. ‘Economics Forum’ organizes lectures of invitee –guests, personalities with special calibre.
Faculty
On July 16, 2007 Prof. Narendra Patil assumed the responsibility of department with ardent enthusiasm. So for he has participated in various N.S.S camps of the college. The department has made remarkable contribution to Adult Education, NSS, Students Council, Alumni Association, Cultural Programme, Vrikshadindi, Grantha Dindi, Social Gathering and Community Extension Programme.The NSS and Adult Education Department, two landmark documents gave a spurt of activities for the institution and proved its prowess in community extension work. Prof. N.K.Patil was NSS Programme officer from 2012-15 and Co-Programme Officer of National Jayanties and Punysthiti since 2015.

Activities
The Department organizes guest lectures, workshops, seminar, Group discussion, debate, Economics Quiz, Survey, Blood Donation camp, Educational Tour for the development and intellectual progress of the students.
